2008 DPE Master’s Research Award:

2008 DPE Master's Research Award: Heather Laturnas Photo

Heather Laturnas (National Chapter) was the recipient of the 2008 Delta Pi Epsilon Master’s Research Award, presented for her thesis titled, Interdisciplinary Learning in High School Business Education. Her research was conducted at the University of Regina, Regina, Saskatchewan., under the direction of Dr. Cyril Kesten.

2008 DPE Independent Research Award:

Alan Czyzewski and William Wilhelm win 2008 DPE Independent Research Award

Dr. Alan B. Czyzewski and Dr. William J. Wilhelm (Alpha Sigma Chapter), Indiana State University, were the recipients of the 2008 Delta Pi Epsilon Independent Research Award, presented for the best research that advances any area of business education published in any review board or editor refereed journal. The award was presented for their article, “A Quasi-Experimental Study of Moral Reasoning of Undergraduate Business Students Using an Ethical Decision-Making Framework in a Basic Accounting Course,” published in The Delta Pi Epsilon Journal, Vol. XLVIII, Issue 3, pp. 129-143.

Jason Bronowitz (Alpha Sigma Chapter), Arizona State University, was the recipient of the Outstanding Research Paper Award, for the paper titled, “Evaluation in Entrepreneurship Education.”

Dr. Lisa Gueldenzoph Snyder (Beta Eta Chapter), North Carolina A & T State University, was the recipient of the Innovative Instructional Practices Award, for the paper titled, “The Use of Pre-Group Instruction to Improve Student Collaboration.

Delta Pi Epsilon was established in 1936 at New York University and presently is made up of members affiliated with over 60 university and state-based chapters. Members advance quality education and refine pedagogy though research and instructional development activities.
