The purpose of the Delta Pi Epsilon Research Awards Program is to encourage
and recognize graduate and independent research in business education. An award
is offered annually for the outstanding doctoral dissertation and master's
thesis or seminar paper in business education completed during a particular
calendar year and for the outstanding independent research publication
(published article in any review board or editor refereed journal) in business
education published during the previous year. Abstracts of the award-winning
studies are published in the Delta Pi Epsilon Journal.
The evaluation process requires a full year of work by teams of first-stage
and national judges appointed by Delta Pi Epsilon. Studies are routed to
first-stage judges for a series of independent readings and evaluations. The
studies receiving the highest ranking are then submitted to a panel of national
judges for final ranking and determining the award winner.
Master's thesis and doctoral dissertations in business education completed in
regionally accredited colleges or universities in 2009 are now eligible for
consideration in the award program. Independent research articles
published during 2009 are eligible. One bound copy of each study and publication
must be received by March 1, 2010; the binding may be of any type as long as the
sheets are not loose. Loose sheets in a binder are not acceptable. Send each
study and article to:
DPE National Office
P.O. Box 4340
Little Rock, AR 72214
Telephone: 501.219.1866; E-mail: dpe@ipa.net
Studies and articles received after March 1 will not be considered.
All candidates should submit an information form.
