The research grants program was established in 1977 "to provide for the advancement and extension of technical and scientific investigation, research, and experimentation in the field of study commonly known as business education . . . and to make grants and gifts to support and assist in such investigation, research, and experimentation."

Research Grants Awarded

Dr. Jamison V. Kovach, Michelle Miley, and Dr. Miguel A. Ramos, the University of Houston, have been awarded a grant for $3,400 for research titled, “The Impact of Writing-Based Collaborative Learning on Writing Competency in a Quality Improvement Methods Course.”

Schavon Waggoner, doctoral student at Arizona State University, has been awarded a doctoral research grant of $500 for research titled, “Evaluation of E-Bucks: A Simulated Classroom Economy.”

Michelle Crary, doctoral student at Arizona State University, has been awarded a doctoral research grant of $500 for research titled, “Multimedia-Based Instruction in a Computer Class.”

Research Grants Now Available

Contributions to the Foundation from business educators, publishers, and friends of business education have made possible grants totaling approximately $162,000 since 1981.
